Our Schools, Their Journey
Before we bid farewell to our Class of 2019, we asked graduates from all sixteen of our secondary schools and our alternative education sites to reflect on their WRDSB journey – the people who inspired them, the advice they would give to their younger self, and what’s next.
To our graduates, we want to say congratulations! To those who took part in our video, thank you for taking a moment to reminisce and look back on your time with the WRDSB. You have worked hard, grown as a person, made mistakes, laughed, cried, set goals, and conquered your fears. Take what you’ve learned and be great – we know the future holds amazing things for you. Be a mentor. Lend a hand. Chase your passion.
The words of our graduates help to remind us of our purpose and the difference every staff member can make in the lives of our students. Our students had access to the latest technology, supports, and resources they needed to succeed. They were able to start each school day knowing they had a team of caring adults who would help them achieve their full potential. The work we do builds the foundation for success for each of our students, setting them up for success as they set out on their chosen pathway when they graduate from our system.
